Funding for 2024 Arts, Culture, and Creative-Based Projects and Programs

Award Amount: Up to $1,500.00

Grant Description: The Tuscarawas Arts Support Grant (TASG) is awarded to projects and programs with a focus on arts, culture, and creativity in Tuscarawas County. The goal of the grant is to provide additional funding support for arts-based projects and programs that would impact local communities within Tuscarawas County. Examples of arts projects and programs that can be funded are:

• hiring directors or actors to assist in theatre workshops for students;

• collaborative mural projects between an artist and local business;

• pop-up dance programs in the downtown square;

• community arts festivals that are free for public attendance;

• creative writing workshops and live readings;

• creative workshops with professional artists for students;

Timeline:

• Application Opens: Friday, April 28, 2023

• Application Deadline: Friday, September 22, 2023

• Grant Review Panel Meeting: October 2023

• Board Approval Meeting: Monday, November 6, 2023

• Grantee Notification: Tuesday, November 7, 2023 - Friday, November 10, 2023

• Grant Period for Applied Funds: January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2024
